Black void drape is woven and finished specifically to absorb light rather than reflect it, using a tight, low-sheen black fabric that reads as a true void under stage wash instead of the dull gray you get from cheaper black muslin. We sew it in full-stage widths so the masking reads as one continuous black field with no visible panel breaks.

Most orders ship plain black, but we can add a subtle Lantern Stage Co. style monogram or wordmark low on one panel in matching matte black ink, visible only under a direct spot — a detail some touring productions and corporate stages use to mark house property without breaking the void effect. It’s a quiet way to track panels across a multi-venue inventory without anyone in the audience ever noticing the mark is there.
