Poly Stretch Scrim

Poly stretch scrim is a lightweight, tightly woven polyester built to be laced or clipped onto a frame and pulled to a drum-tight finish. Unlike loose-hung fabric, it won’t ripple under moving lights or air handlers, which makes it a reliable base for both static backdrops and rear-projected video. We cut it to your exact frame dimensions with a seam allowance built in for the lacing channel.

We print your Lantern Stage Co. style artwork directly onto the polyester using dye-sublimation, which pushes color through the fibers instead of sitting on top, so the print stays saturated even when the scrim is pulled tight and lit at a steep angle. Logos, sponsor walls, and full-bleed scenic art all hold sharp edges from the front row to the balcony.

It’s the surface touring production managers reach for when a video wall isn’t in the budget but the show still needs a clean, camera-ready background, and it’s equally common behind a church platform or a corporate general session where a wrinkled backdrop reads as unprofessional the second the lights come up. Because it laces on rather than hanging loose, the same panel goes up and comes down dozens of times across a season without the surface starting to sag or ripple the way a hung drop eventually does.
